It's time to hang up on authoritarianism.
It's time to hang up on T-Mobile.
TAKE THE PLEDGE TO BOYCOTT T-MOBILE
WHY BOYCOTT T-MOBILE?
IN BED WITH TRUMP
Trump launched “Trump Mobile” on the T-Mobile network.
In July, Trump launched his own phone company: Trump Mobile. Despite glaring conflicts of interest, Trump Mobile is being hosted on the T-Mobile network, raising corruption concerns.
Lining Elon Musk's pockets
T-Mobile is partnering with Elon Musk's Starlink, funneling billions of dollarts into the pockets of the world's most famous and destructive far-right billionaire.
undermining america
T-Mobile lobbied in favor of Trump's disastrous budget bill. The bill is expected to strip millions of Americans of healthcare and basic social services, while cutting the taxes of the 1%.
Abandoning DEI
T-Mobile ended its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. Why? To appease the Trump regime as it sought approval for two major acquisitions.
Union Busting
T-Mobile has spent years engaging in vicious and illegal union busting tactics to prevent workers from unionizing.
As Trump sends the military into our cities and disappears people off the streets, T-Mobile's support of Trump is unacceptable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
how and when to cancel my t-mobile contract:

Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my service/contract with T-mobile?
Before you cancel with T-Mobile, set up a new cell phone carrier to ensure that your service will not be interrupted. Do not cancel with T-Mobile until you have already set up a new service with another carrier, otherwise you may lose your number.
Your new phone carrier will walk you through the steps required to switch carriers. You may have to call T-Mobile to ask for a “port out pin”, or you may be able to find this on the T-Mobile app or website.
In most cases you will be able to keep your phone number if you wish. Many carriers have special discounts for customers who are switching from another provider. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan you will be charged for your remaining balance.
WHO SHOULD I MOVE TO?
We don't recommend specific alternatives, but when choosing a new cell phone carrier, you should be aware that these are the options you can pick to maintain the boycott.
These carriers DO NOT use the T-Mobile Network: AT&T (union represented carrier), Verizon Wireless, Credo Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Visible, Straight Talk Wireless, Xfinity Mobile, MobileX, FreeUP, Good2Go, H2O, PureTalk, Red Pocket (select the GSMA or CDMA option, avoid the GSMT option) Boost Mobile (make sure to ask for the Dish Network/AT&T option)
These options lease bandwidth from all three major carriers. You will be using some T-Mobile capacity, but they are better than a T-Mobile contract or T-Mobile MVNO carrier: Freedom Pop, US Mobile, TracFone, Wing
These are the carriers that use T-Mobile’s network: Trump Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Mint Mobile, Google Fi, Tello, US Mobile, Ultra Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Red Pocket.
should I let t-mobile know why i am canceling?
Yes – absolutely! Once you have set up your new service, call T-Mobile to cancel and to let them know why you are canceling by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone or calling 1-800-937-8997. You can also visit a T-Mobile store.
You should say that due to T-Mobile siding with the Trump administration and far-right extremists like Elon Musk, you’ve decided to end your service. Remember to be polite to the T-Mobile representative you are speaking with throughout your call.
Will T-mobile try to convince me to not end my contract?
The T-Mobile representative may offer an incentive for you to keep your service with them. Remain firm and express that you have made your decision. Explain that because T-Mobile has also made its decision by siding with the Trump administration and further enriching billionaires who attack democracy you are committed to ending your service and no longer wish to remain a T-Mobile customer.
You should confirm with the representative that your reason for canceling is recorded. Furthermore, since customer service calls are often recorded for “quality assurance,” providing your reason for canceling is very important.
Will canceling my T-mobile service make a difference?
Yes! By joining this campaign you will be one of the many leaders from across the country who, since the beginning of this year, have been demonstrating widespread opposition to Trump’s authoritarianism and Musk’s political activity.
Showing corporate executives and investors that caving to far right extremism is bad for business will create a powerful disincentive against working with Musk’s companies and enabling Trump’s extremism.
When should i cancel my contract?
For maximum impact, we are calling on 10,000 people to cancel their contracts on Saturday, November 15th. If you just can't wait and want to cancel now, that's fine — but we encourage you to hold off and set aside time to cancel the weekend of Saturday, November 15th.
AREN'T ALL THE BIG PHONE COMPANIES BAD?
Yes, but T-Mobile is the only one that is hosting Trump Mobile on its network, and it's the only one that is partnering with Elon Musk's Starlink.
my phone is locked. can i keep my number and join the boycott?
Yes, but you will have to call T-Mobile and ask them to unlock your phone first. Most phones are not locked (meaning it is tied to a single carrier’s network), however, if your phone is locked, call T-Mobile and ask them to unlock it.
i have a family plan. can i still join the boycott?
Yes, but you will need to coordinate switching with all of your family members on the plan and, if possible, the primary account holder should be the one to arrange the switching and call T-Mobile to cancel.
